I graduated from Graceland University  in Lamoni, Iowa. While in school, I took way more classes than I needed, in all mediums. Ceramics, Wood Sculpture, Painting, Printmaking...You name it, I took it! I felt it was the only way to figure out what I truly loved to do.

As it turns out, I'm drawn to the things that take the longest amount of time and the most patience. Photography and Printmaking. I like the process in general, following all the steps exactly but getting different results.

I do traditional darkroom photography. 35mm and 120 black and white film. I shoot with a Pentax ZX-M and a Holga. I've branched out into digital photography as well and come out with some lovely photos with my Canon Rebel. Along with traditional, I do alternative processes such as Cyanotypes and Polaroid transfers.

Cemeteryscapes 2009

My piece 'NOLA Cemetery' was displayed at the 18th Annual Cemeteryscapes photography exhibition at The International House Hotel (221 Camp Street, New Orleans, LA) October 29, 2009-November 22, 2009. It won 2nd Place in the Manipulated category.

This exhibition is designed to develop awareness and appreciation of the artistic and historic value of cemeteries. For more information by the host organization (Save Our Cemeteries) go to www.saveourcemeteries.org
